Microwave and stove top amounts. Servings: 1: 2: 3. Water: 1-1/4 cups: 2-1/2 cups: 3-3/4 cups. Oat bran: 1/2 cup: 1 cup: 1-1/2 cup. Salt(optional): dash: dash: 1/8 tsp. Microwave directions: 1. Combine water, oat bran and salt in medium (1-1/2 qt) microwaveable bowl. 2. Microwave on high 1 serving: 2-1/2 to 3 minutes 2 servings: 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 minutes or until thickened, stirring halfway through cooking. 3. Stir before serving. Microwave ovens vary in power; cooking times may need adjustment. Stove top directions: 1. Combine water, oat bran and salt. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Cook about 1 minute over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
